Thievery in my Hood

Jun 02, 2011 21:27

I'm going over the reports from our friends at spotcrime.com and noticing some interesting thefts in the past week. The most recognizable one being theft of catalytic converters. While I see this is nothing new in the headlines, this is something that I haven't seen reported in the neighborhood before. Theft #1 was near Oak Lawn & Rawlins on 05/26/2011 at 9:36 am. Incident #2 was near Lemmon and Reagan on 06/01/2011 at 1:08 pm. The 2 addresses listed are not very far from each other. People are getting more hard up for money I assume.

There was also a metal theft reported on 5/30/11 at 5:56 pm near Dallas North Tollway and Reagan St. Someone just ran off with a piece of metal from a pole.

Other items worthy of blogging:

4300 hartford 05/29/2011 01:04 PM Burglary of Motor Vehicle: Unknown suspect zipped open complaintant's Jeep top and made entry. Yes. It was that easy.

2500 Oak Lawn 05/30/2011 09:38 AM Theft suspect removed 3 cases of beer from cooler at a convenience store. Now that, my friends, is what you call a Beer Run!!
