I got my hair done on Monday and i'm
trying not to hate it.
I had her amp up the red highlights a little. It's much more red that usual. But here's the problem: The new really red highlights make the not-red hair next to it look dingy and greyish. I am so not happy. I'm never had this problem in the past, but I think she's always used some sort of color rinse over everything to help blend. Did she forget the color rinse? I can't remember. Maybe it's just a side-effect of the new color. Of course, the real kicker is that it will probably change when I wash my hair tonight. I hope it doesn't look grey.
Am I done whining? No.
I belong to yahoogroups for a monthly board game group. Some guy posted that we was selling his "Apples 2 Apples". This is a game I LOVE! I offered to buy it, he asked for $20 and I agree! Huzzah! He was going to bring it to the board games day on Saturday so I could pick it up. I'm so excited! I'm getting together with co-workers on Sunday for a Super Bowl Commercial party and I told them about how great Apples 2 Apples was and how we could play it on Sunday!
Except now the loser has decided not to sell it to me. Apparently he had mentioned it to a co-worker earlier and said co-worker decided to claim it so he went back on his commitment to me. GRRRRRRR. I guess he didn't have the balls to tell the co-worker "Oh, i'm sorry. I've already sold that one to someone else!" GRRRRR. And now all MY co-workers will be looking forward to playing a game I don't own on Sunday. The real question is: Do I now need to find and purchase the game in the limited free time I have before Sunday or do I just tell my co-workers about the loser and find some alternative game?
Still more whining? YES! YES! YES!
Despite being overly busy all week and looking forward to some me time this weekend, I have managed to, once again, over-commit my schedule. Friday I got talked into playing RPGA. I should have said 'no'. I should have politely declined. But I'm a spineless wuss and they need a certain number of bodies to make the table. Saturday is the board games day, which I was looking forward to. With Friday night being busy, I had figured I'd leave the game day a little early and go home and decompress a bit. Except now I have to WORK. While overtime is a good thing, there's no way I can work 4 hours and go to game day. It's not going to happen. I would explode. So I've dropped game day. I guess there's always next month.
Oh, and don't even get me started on the Disney - Pixar situation. I think our local mail server actually crashed because of all the intra-office email bouncing around about it. And, of course, some idiot was able to twist it around into an excuse to beat up on digital artists. It's always our fault somehow. ARGH!
And I'm still at work. Why am I still at work? Dammit. I'm going home.
