So this weekend had many opportunities and fun things to do. I was originally going to
Orc-Con down at LAX, with the local Enigma mini-con MaxiCon, being a close second. I even debated doing one day at each. I was also trying to figure out how to squeeze in the
Antiquarian Book Fair AND the member's only sneak premiere of the new Chinese Gardens at the
Huntington. WHEW. Now add to all of this about a dozen or so things I have to do and really need to catch up on. Mix, stir well and explode.
In typical "me" fashion, I crashed. I decided to pass on most of the fun stuff and focus on what I needed to do. I did still manage to hit the Huntington this morning, but I've been trying very hard to get a lot of stuff done. Sadly, I lost most of Saturday recovering from Friday night AND I'm easily distracted, so my focus has been terrible. Here's the list:
1. Clean Kitchen.
2. Clean off Dining Room table.
3. Book Shelf Superset
3A. Finish repainting book shelf.
3B. Clean carpet where bookshelf needs to go.
3C. Put bookshelf back in place and move the stacks of books from behind the couch back to shelf.
4. Taxes Superset
4A. Finish organizing paperwork.
4B. Do taxes.
4C. Submit taxes.
4D. Box up paperwork and stash away for 7 years.
5. LJ Superset
5A. Post about last weekend.
5B. Post about this weekend.
5C. Post about dating.
6. Transfer stuff from old laptop to new laptop.
7. Get comforter cleaned (somewhere with over-sized machines).
8. Wash couch cushions.
9. Sewing Superset
9A. Work on Chemise for 18th Century French ballgown.
9B. Work on Corset for 18th Century French ballgown.
9C. Sew pockets back onto pants.
9D. Hem two pairs of pants.
10. Goodwill run.
Funny enough, I spent several hours this afternoon totally mucking about with my new
LibraryThing account. It's not even on the list. Did I mention easily distracted?
