At long last the St. Louis trip (if it was a Friends episode it would be The One With All the Links).
So 11/9 I was on my way to Milwaukee to stay with my gorgeous friend Hettie and her number one husband Jon (aka best GYDG CD maker ever). Any song you say is our song, that is alright by me. Let me tell you, when I heard "Heidi", I was a glad girl.
A young man told me I was a babe . I did read him a couple books though first.
Then 11/10 the magic starts. Hettie and I wake at o'dark-thirty only to discover that Andrea is delayed. But it was okay because we rolled into O'Hare about five minutes after she walked outside. And then it was time for GYDGin' Around and Heidi's lead foot. On our way to Bloomington to see Co Gator Doo creator
Tracie and her kids at the local Cracker Barrel where I discovered my destiny was to wear sparkly sweatshirts and walk in the mall before it opens. I think I also saw Andrea's secret
fate. J/K
Finally we arrive in St. Louis and the girls tell me when to exit (seriously worst exit ever)! We're here to stay with
Jenny and Gretel (Michael - best fiance ever was away) Oh so the reason we are in St. Louis is to see
Jake Jo who inspired a little
honeymoon that I went on. But it's all thanks to Dan (number one husband) and his great
interweb wanderings that we were there.
We had a great time. And learned a lot (touch it!).
Oh and I drank a lot so the next day
brunch was pretty welcome. We went to the place that Jenny went to right after she got
engaged and decided to go to the
Chihuly exhibit at the Botanical Gardens.

here are a
few more pieces.
The exhibit was cool. Yadda yadda yadda kind of like easter eggs, kind of weird because it isn't natural and oh Chihuly wears an eye patch.
We walked though the Japanese garden too.
And then we
went into the
maze. That was fun.
So yeah, we walked a lot which can only mean one thing: that's right:
engagement cake. BTW you can have whatever cake you want in any season. That's from me to you.
Okay so then we looked at Jenny's wedding dress which I won't link to because maybe Michael will see it. But we did have a
sleep-over. How cute are my girls?
And in the morning ... Look Jenny!
oars!
Yikes.
This took a long time and I've been drinking. Look for corrections in the coming days.
