Notes: So, I don't know, I guess I was slightly disappointed by the action that didn't happen in the elevator on Monday. Realistically, I didn't honestly expect anything. I mean, these boys have only been being somewhat civil to each other for what, like two episodes? And Nuke is still in it's fading stages, barely over even. But then, what they did give us in the elevator was sooo much worse than nothing. God! Crazy Intense UST around 4:30-ish. It sort of killed me. Something needs to happen. So I rewrote the scene! lol.

Luke was less than upset when the elevator broke down. In fact, he was rather amused by the whole situation. It wasn't in his nature to panic or feel afraid. Whenever he got himself into trouble, it always ended well. He could charm his way out of any tight situation, and if not...well, he could always buy his way out of it. So when the elevator stuttered and stopped, the only thing that was on his mind was the fact he most certainly was not alone in the tiny space.

Lately, he'd been thinking things about Dr. Oliver that surprised even himself. Perhaps it was a case of wanting what you can't have. Maybe it was some desperate attempt to rebound after Noah. He wasn't really sure what it was, but it was there. And it was vibrant. And it was trouble. The kind of trouble that money couldn't fix. In fact, it was his charm and money that was making the whole situation that much worse, bringing them closer, forcing them to spend time together. Yeah, it was trouble. And that trouble was currently staring Luke straight in the face.

"Well, do something!" Reid was pacing in the tiny area, feet shuffling along the carpet.

"What do you mean, do something? I'm not a mechanic!" Luke snarked.

"I'm pretty sure it's not mechanics who fix elevators." Reid's voice was cracking, rising slightly.

"Well whatever, I'm not an elevator-fixer. Just calm down. It's no big deal." Luke leaned against the side wall, hands behind his back as he watched Dr. Oliver pull at the collar of his shirt, slipping the knot of his tie down an inch or two, exposing a small patch of heated skin. That delicious skin. Trouble.

Reid didn't reply. He splayed one hand on the elevator wall, leaning heavily as he tried to control his breathing. Luke finally clued in, noticing all the signs.

"You're totally freaking out right now, aren't you?" His question didn't need to be answered, it was already quite obvious. Reid was trembling and and sweating, gasping for breath, and to be perfectly honest, he looked like a wreck. It was sort of hilarious.

"You're scared of the elevator? You're claustrophobic!" Luke grinned as he all but shouted the words. It was definitely amusing to see the doctor falling apart like this.

"You're afraid that we're going to be stuck in here for the rest of our lives. That we're going to suffocate and die. Or maybe the cables will snap, and we'll fall to our death in a fiery inferno! Or maybe the lights will stay out and--"

"Shut up!" Reid crossed the space quickly, one step bringing him into Luke's personal space. Luke's face fell as Reid fisted his hands in the front of his shirt, pushing him hard against the wall. "Shut the hell up, Luke, I don't need this!" Reid was shaking, voice cracking, but his grip was strong, keeping Luke's back pressed flat against the wall. Luke pushed at Reid's shoulders, not with enough to force to actually make him move. But if Luke was honest with himself, he wasn't sure he really wanted him to move.

"Fine, I'm sorry, calm down." He meant his words. He wasn't really that sorry, but maybe a little. He didn't know what it was like to feel the way Reid did right now. He expected the doctor to drop his hands and back away, and he waited for it to happen. But, it didn't. He kept his fingers tangled in the light fabric of Luke's button down shirt. Kept him pressed up against the wall. Kept his own body pressed painfully close. Luke could feel him trembling against him, warm heat radiating through his clothes.

"Are...are you alright?" He asked seriously, voice low. He really was genuinely worried now.

Reid shook his head, slowly, deliberately, as if he was shocked by the revelation that he, in fact, was not alright.

Luke wasn't sure what to do. He couldn't exactly do anything to get them out of there, that much was certain. And he had no idea what Reid needed right now, since he didn't know the first thing about claustrophobia. What would help?

"Focus on something." He blurted out finally, still feeling Reid's body pressed tight against his.

"What?" The doctor's face was confused as he questioned.

"Like, I don't know...look around and describe everything you see." Luke expanded, realizing too late that it might be a bad idea to get Reid to focus on the fact that all the buttons were flashing and failing. He was sort of relieved when he didn't put his focus on any parts of the elevator. Instead, he studied Luke.

"Your shoes." Reid looked down between them. "Your shoes were expensive, weren't they? I can tell." He said. Luke shrugged, not sure what 'expensive' to Reid would be.

"Your shirt. That stupid shirt. Why did you insist we needed to dress up for this thing? I could have worn my scrubs, you know." He was smiling slightly now, and Luke noticed that his breathing was evening out slowly.

"And your hair, which also looks ridiculous by the way."

Luke laughed, actually laughed. Yeah, Dr. Oliver was feeling better, that was clear. But yet, he didn't release his hold on Luke's clothes. Kept him pinned tightly against the wall, and Luke was starting to like it a little too much.

"And your eyes."

Luke swallowed deeply as Reid locked their eyes together, describing the colors in Luke's.

"Probably one of the strangest shades of green I've ever seen."

Luke smiled, unsure if that was a good thing or not. All he was sure of was the fact that Reid was tortuously close, studying his face with a care that was almost nervewracking.

"And your mouth." Reid dropped his eyes, letting his gaze trace the curve of Luke's lips. He soon raised his hand to Luke's face, letting his fingers do the same. "Your lips. They're sort of perfect."

Luke felt a heat spiral through his body, quick and sudden, and it made his knees weak. He leaned harder against the wall, letting Reid trace his fingers lightly over his lips.

The elevator stuttered suddenly, dropping an inch or so. Reid flinched at the jolt, closing his eyes as his body stiffened. Luke instinctively reached out, wrapping his arms around him, spreading his palms out flat on his back. It felt so right. He looked at Reid's face, scared and troubled, skin damp and heated. He wanted to touch, to...to taste.

He didn't give himself time to think about his actions before he leaned in, pressing his lips softly against Reid's. The doctor didn't respond for a moment, standing perfectly still. Eventually, he moved, opening his mouth slightly, meeting Luke's actions. Luke let his hands wander over Reid's back, pressing lightly, pulling him closer and tighter, until there was no space left between their bodies. Their lips fell into a perfect sync, turning the kiss into something that was sort of more than a kiss. Better than Luke had even imagined, which he had done on more than one occasion. He felt Reid finally release his hold on his shirt, raising one hand to wrap around the back of his neck, and dropping the other to rest on his hip. Luke moaned softly, quietly, but the sound was loud in the too-silent space.

The lights flickered and a mechanical hum cut through the silence, breaking their kiss just in time for the door to open. The janitor was waiting at the opened doors, eyebrows raised as Reid backed away from Luke, adjusting his clothes before stepping out of the elevator. Luke grinned at the man as he passed, catching up to the doctor a few steps ahead.

"Well, Mr. Snyder, we're terribly late for this meeting." Reid's eyes were wide as he pulled at his collar, trying to walk straight despite the fact that his whole body was shocked with energy and tension.

Luke laughed, suddenly remembering their first phone conversation. Jesus Christ. How the hell did they end up like this?

It was a crazy thing to think about, but Luke had a feeling that it'd be all that would be on his mind for a long time to come.
