Jake pressed himself into the corner, unsure of where to go or what to say. He wasn't anti-social, not even awkward at all, really. He liked people, and he was good with events, but this was different in a really major way. This was a party at Jared's house, a party full of people that Jake had never met. There were some he knew from set, a smattering of familiar faces in the sea of strangers. But, they were consumed by said strangers, Jared's friends, more accurately.

Jake was confused by the situation, not fully understanding why he was feeling so nervous, being so quiet and closed off. He'd always been good with first impressions, getting to know people, making them like him. But this was just uncomfortable, because it was absolutely clear that everyone knew everyone here, a giant pile of wives and best friends and siblings and co-workers. But Jake wasn't anything to anybody.

Jake was just 'that kid'.

I know exactly how that feels and what Jake means. It's not really emo like 'oh I'm invisible' even though that's kinda true. It's just that you're in foreign territory there.

Here's something that's not all that secret: I like Adam so much because I identify with him a ridiculous amount. <3

This was great, bbgirl, I like the dynamic between them, and I love how you portray the party and the people there and how Jensen fits because he's made the effort but he doesn't really want to. So much love. <3
