Apparently reading WFRLP emails that make one cry before a doctor's appointment is a good way to get signed off for longer ( Read more... )

Dunno about anyone else, but the latest preachy outburst from Konrad made me want to wring the bugger's neck.

Nah, with me it's the total blase approach of most villagers when Valmar's wife goes missing and he *obviously* doesn't have the wilderness nous to save her.

It doesn't make me cry though - the reverse, it makes me smile, cos it's all grist to the plotmill.

I was told that you hadn't been able to find her when you left the camp, but it was from Kurt, so I may not have paid it as much attention as I should :#(

Plus you're always losing her, for several months last year Brigitte kept being convinced you'd killed Helga, cos you were never both at the same sessions :oP

To be fair to them, she had said that she was moving to Falkenberg, so if they've not been told IC that she is missing, they won't know.

Some of us don't have that excuse though...

It's not just the once: Like you say - I do keep losing her, and people do appear to keep completely not caring :-) It's made it a struggle to justify not telling the whole village to go fuck themselves and moving to Zwollen :-D

I've got a very special knife to show you if you want to move to Zwollen. I've had it for a few years now, but Dietfried has very kindly offered to sharpen it for me specially :oP

I'd probably manage to sever my own arm, but thanks!

well, it wasn't your arm I was thinking of, but it'll do in a pinch I suppose :o)

When I learned about Helga's abduction I went ape IC. However, with a few villagers saying that Gottfried intended to find her (and knowing that several players were trying to keep an eye on him) I thought the situation was in hand :/

Sure, this time round (she does go missing a lot, doesn't she)anyone who was totally sold on Gottfried and the "miracle of the hammer" (which had to include Valmar, because it was pretty much his only lifeline given how people have reacted before) then relying on Gottfried was entirely reasonable. Afterall, he's Sigmar reborn, right?

yeah, and you didn't even mention where your son (keep losing him too ;) )was, I had to ask a Zwollen dude.

Konrad's player can be abrasive in RPGs. I understand that his philosophy of gaming is that you make the game better by up front and belligerent conflict.
The game is supposed to be a safe environment for all. If anyone makes you uncomfortable or upset, tell them and they'll most likely back off - no-one I know in the game is going to be a total arse OOC. If that doesn't work, poke a ref and say "meep" and they'll back you up.
*hugs*

I know he doesn't mean it, I chatted with him after the session, and when he popped round last night. Its just me being over fragile at the moment.

My message of retort was a lot more eloquent in my head though :o)

I only just saw that one - oops! Konrad's choice of words were not the best for avoiding a holy war I think.
