I had a fun day!!

Our regional HR manager was visiting today. We chatted a bit about bristol and I told her how I ended up in Personnel. She then asked if I was planning a career with the company and I told her my good news.
From the fact that she tried three times to chnage my mind, mentioning the trainee manager position each time, I think I might have been supposed to apply for it!
It probably didn't help when I told her I wouldn't have applied for it anyway, because I wasn't good enough to be band three, so I had no chance at the managers position! She vanished off to talk to the regional manager soon after that, before asking me why I wasn't good enough...
Apparently it will take at least 6 weeks to replace the witch, so there has been panic today!!
