Well, I had my review today.
I'm 'not quite ready yet'.
Its ok for me to run the department until we get a new manager though -'It'll be really good experience' and 'a chance to demonstrate your improvements'
So nothing to do with the fact that I'm paid just over half the managers wage, and can't not look after the department 'cos I do that just by doing my work. The only difference is that I won't have her (not) backing me up when managers disagree with me.
Our store trainer actually told the duty manager that she was going to quit at 11am. I found this out at 4.30, after my review because J wouldn't let me out of her sight all day. She even found an excuse to keep an eye on me while I was photocopying. If I had known what she had said to H I wouldn't have even gone to the review, she seems to be trying to cause as much upset as she can before she leaves.
I've definitely given up on the idea of holding out for a HR job, I can't afford to any more, (fingers crossed)hopefully I'll be in a call centre in a few weeks...
