Okay, so you know how I said that Titi is my favorite character? Although that statement still holds true, I feel the most sympathy for Canna. Even if this sympathy will most likely make a sucker out of me in the end, the exhaustion he must feel from his (necessary albeit forever shady) duplicity breaks my heart. Canna's self-awareness/self-monitoring enables him to fulfill many roles on which people depend for their (and his) gain. He focuses on Iker out of perpetual need, desire, and routine. He keeps tabs on the city because his position requires it. But who watches him with genuine care and with no motives?
OMG, Puyi. If the Brass members are tired of you, you have a willing audience right here.
Holy fuck, Titi. What a fucking maestro. Such foresight, such matter-of-factness, such accuracy in reading people (e.g., Becks' lack of wiliness, Iker's need to maintain composure, and the layers of deceit necessary to elude Messi's sharpness), and the breadth of his power. I am so in love with him, but I also relish the idea of his downfall, if it comes, because it will be spectacular. And Messi (maybe with Bojan's help) as the possible harbinger of that destruction? Yum.
But it was worth giving Iker the impression that he had some sort of control - some last semblance of dignity. I love the callback to Titi and control from the previous part. Damn.
I dread the direction of Bojan's fury. His curiosity and hunger are worrying.
Raúl, you got it bad. I don't blame you. After all, Guti is Guti. The whole Raúl/Guti scene is breathtaking and you are too amazing. So conflicted, so loaded, and so, so hot. I love the setup of a measured Raúl "about to launch his attack" only to be the one caught unawares. And I love how like Raul, we get distracted by Guti, and we don't know whether Guti's attack is out of genuine sexual tension/fondness or a tactic.
Overall, I love what you do with this theme of surveillance and performance, and the work and limitations involved. So ace.
You are a genius. I love you. These two sentences are completely unsurprising. An abundance of ♥ for you.

Just - gah. Thank you so much. I can't say it enough. There needs to be a stronger way to say it. Maybe capitals? THANK YOU SO MUCH? Eh, I sound a bit manic, but manic shall have to suffice.
I think the reason why the comments you leave are among the best to read is because you have such a great eye for detail, and it makes including all of that detail worth it. I particularly love you for noticing the throwback to Thierry's control thing, and for your observation of the chapter's theme.
I'm so glad that you're enjoying Thierry. He's probably my favourite to write.
Thank you endlessly. Your compliments make me blush. ♥
