normalcy.

Because I do believe that it has become tradition for me to include at least one scrap of evidence that I am the world's biggest douche, I shall kickstart this entry by informing you lovely folks out there that this morning, I dropped boiling hot tea onto my lap. It was honestly at 100 degrees, I'd only just poured it. *rolls eyes* I'm fine, by the way! Absolutely fine! Do not worry! I would not be posting had I suffered burns! I merely wished to again showcase my idiocy, if only to make you all feel a bit better about yourselves, should you slip momentarily into a state of seeming inadequacy. I think I was born to make others look good.

Anyway.

On Saturday, I met up with ombu_tree! It was about time, honestly - we go to the same uni and everything. I was rather worried that I'd be my usual vague, antisocial self, but I think I managed conversation alright. I think. I can never tell, I tend to weird out most people I meet.
We basically bummed around the city, consuming various sugary things, talking and talking. It was so lovely to be able to chat about football with someone other than my father. :D While it remained entirely surreal to be meeting an flister, with whom I'd always associated mere words and perhaps the odd photo, rather than an actual voice, an actual person, it was a pretty cool experience and it'd be nice to bump into each other around uni, for she is absolutely lovely. ♥
She was also kind enough to lend me not one but three seasons of Queer as Folk, so I shall have a dandy time whiling away my holidays in front of the TV. I've already watched four episodes, and I can tell that I'm going to be hooked.
