Hey what up? Sorry haven't updated in a few days...I've been busy with school and going to basketball games. Today I went to my fourth game in five days...was pretty hardcore.

Tuesday-Varsity Girls Basketball-Port Jeff vs. Mercy:

Alright, not really a big fan of girls basketball. Nothing sexist (I LOOOOOVE the ladies...Anchorman), I just don't like it as much, not as high scoring, not as fun to watch. Anyway, Tuesday night/afternoon, Sasha IMs and tells me that Katie Divine told him to come and (since you obviously have to do everything any girl ever asks you to do.../sarcasm)that he was gonna go. He said he needed someone to go with him and didn't want to go alone. As a loyal friend, I obliged to go to the game with him, so he wouldn't be stuck sitting there watching the game alone. So I get there and Sasha's like 10 minutes late. I figured he was just setting me up to make me sit through a girls basketball game. So we're sitting there watching the game and half-way through the second quarter, Sasha is like "see ya". Of course, I'm confused as he was the one that asked me to go. He then told me he just remembered that he had to go to a Robotics Club meeting (WAF). I then decided to go sit with Kyleen at the half and had a good time talking with her and watching the rest of the game, which was better than when I'd sit with Steve at the girls basketball games ("Go talk to that girl and ask her for her number" at least five times a game, which always resulted in me walking half way there then turning around and walking back). The Royals won handily, which was good.

Wednesday-NCAA Division I Men's Basketball-Stony Brook vs. Vermont

I came into this game expecting a route, but excited to see Vermont's dynamic duo of NBA-bound center and back-to-back America East Player of The Year, Taylor Coppenrath (Who, at game time, was leading the entire country in scoring) and their explosive point guard, T.J. Sorrentine. The Wolves scored the game's first 8 points and led for the majority of the first half until the Catamounts (Vermont) turned it up a notch. Vermont went on a 15-4 run to close the half up 37-29. Vermont continued their run in the second half, at one point extending their lead to 19 points. Sorrentine had just took over in one of those games where it quickly became readily appearent that nobody on the Seawolves could stop him. He ended up with 31 points. Not to dissapoint, Taylor Coppenrath put up 22 of his own, including his 2000th point, which was kind of neat to see. The Catamounts won 76-59, but I didnt mind seeing as they're a real good team.

Thursday-No Game

Friday-Varsity Boys Basketball-Port Jeff vs. Hampton Bays

Sasha came home on the bus with me and we were so fucking pumped heading into this one. We were watching PTI on ESPN when they showed a video of Randy Moss getting into his car while talking to a reporter...here is what transpired.

Reporter: "Write the check yet, Randy?"

Moss: "When you're rich, you don't write checks."

Reporter: "If you don't write checks, how do you pay these guys?"

Moss: "Straight cash, homey."

Reporter: "Randy, are you upset about the fine?"

Moss: "No, cause it ain't s---. Ain't nothing but 10 grand. What's 10 grand to me? Ain't shit to me. Next time, I think I'll shake my dick"

Without sports, where would we get quotes like this?

Anyway, Sasha and I rushed through dinner in anticipation. Alec came over, stating that he wanted to go to the game since everyone else was going and he had nothing better to do. Always trying to get new people to the games, we happily took him along. Before the game started, we saw Brandon Mitchell walk into the gym which prompted me to announce "Warning all freshmen girls, Brandon Mitchell is in the house". He didn't hear it and nobody else in our section got it, but Sasha and I both thought it was gold. The game started out pretty well, a back and forth contest despite the lack of crowd involvement. In the second and third quarters Hampton Bays started pulling away and their crowd started getting into it. Their fans even had the audacity to start a "Whos House!?" in our motherfucking gym. Needless to say this pissed us off. To retaliate we had the best chant in PJ sports history. There was some kid wearing a white hat sitting with the other school's fans that was overweight. This led to the "Kid in the white hat, you are fat" chant. Things got pretty heated between the two sides. With like 3 seconds left, down by 12, Brice pulled some guy by his jersey to stick it to their fans. This got him t'ed up. He's an asshole, but hes our asshole, so we all started chanting his name.

After the game in the parking lot Bryce's dad punched some guy out and had to be seperated by the security people and Mr. Chalmers. Also, Mitchell punched Sasha in the gut because Sasha said the "Warning all freshmen girls, Brandon Mitchell is in the house" to his face. Sasha said it was worth it. Good times.

Saturday-NCAA Division I Men's Basketball- Stony Brook vs. Hartford

Stony Brook sucked, Hartford sucked more. Stony Brook won. That's all there really was to say about this one. Not too exciting, but we won. While I was at this game the 'Cuse beat Providence by 4. Winners all around. Good stuff.

There you have it, 4 games, 5 days...quite a basketball odyssey.
