HAHAHAHA!

I love Livejournal, I think it's so cute with it's Happy Holiday's theme and all the things it does. It's so funny.

Anyway, Holy shit!!! Recording in LA was fucking amazing! We go back on Dec. 17th for another round, then again on the 27th to play with Hellogoodbye at Chain Reaction, and continue on to record in LA throughout New Year's. We got vocals to 4 songs done for the record, and will tackle shit-tons more throughout the next sessions. I am extra-excited and happy with the progress and work thus far! Things kind of got off to a slow start in the recording (I think due to Mercury being in retrograde just coming to it's end or close...), but for some reason, on day 3, (Sunday, Dec. 4th), every thing fell into place and we hit that "stride" that one of the producer's (Kyle) was saying we'd eventually hit. We did, and it fucking rocked. Every thing seemed to be just dead on and feel so right. It was fantastic. I went to a pretty cool party out there too. Beck's live band he uses played a set and it was fucking amazing, and absolutely astonishing. They are so incredibly good and tight, it's out of this world!!!! They had this weird dude who looked like Beck just dancing on stage with a shaker instrument and it was funny. I know it wasn't him though. Boom Bip also DJed but we didn't stay for that.

From there...after an exhilerating weekend, or tiring one, I came home and did a 5-10 page research paper in 4 hours that was due today, today, and then went to a vocal recital which was so much fun!!! Man, I fucking rule. I plan to nail every thing that comes in my path!

Oh yeah, it was awesome to see Job For A Cowboy on the New Times cover!!! Congrats. to them, that really made me happyyyy!!!! YAYE!!!! :) Pick one up if you haven't!

Finally, I got this E-mail today, and it was pretty exciting:

Hi Stefan, John,
How are you guys doing? It's been a busy holiday season here at Jones Soda- I'm sure at one point or another you probably heard about our Holiday Packs. In any case, we're starting to plan some fun for next year. We'd like to add another band to our sponsorship roster - we already sponsor Smoosh. Have you heard of them? http://www.pattern25.com/bands/smoosh.shtml They're lovely!)

As you know, we're pretty big Peachcake lovers around the office here, and if it's alright with you we would love to sponsor you! What does this mean? It means you would be featured on our webpage here: http://www.jonessoda.com/files_new/new_talent.html, and... well, I've already written a handy dandy letter to explain all of the details, why don't you read it for yourself?

Now, this is our standard letter and is used more often for our athletes. Obviously, you play a lot of shows, and we won't require you to wear Jones gear at every single show, although we'd obviously appreciate it if you wore a Jones tee once or twice. :)

What do you say? If you have any questions, please let me know.

xo
