WOEEEOOOWW!

So we played the AZ State Fair yesterday...t'was OK. I mean, there's been better and worse. The stage waqs absolutely huge and amazing! It was defintiely a fun show, and I think we all enjoyed our selves for the most part. The crowd seemed to have a good time, I think. The sound I was told was really good in the front of house, but in the monitors on stage it kinda sucked my ass. For some reasin it was really quiet and dulls ounding and the loudest thing were John's vocals, but whatev. It put me out a little toward the end, but I think it was good overall.

Whatever it was though, it didn't matter because last night show in Tucson (Yes, played Tucson same day) was AMAZING! Man, I have to put it down as a top fiver quite possibly Too bad it wasn't an all ages show, and was 21+ over at Plush!!!! Damn though, was that fucking awesome. Great sound, great sound guy, amazing energy, good time, and we got to play with a semi-legendary underground figure: Bob Log the III, and Voodoo Organist. What made it even more amazing was that Bob Log and I had been talking in the parking lot before the show, and he was like, Ooooooh, you're Peachcake, well, I've heard about you guy's...and I was like, Good, or bad? And he said, Actually, it was really really bad, haha. And then he went on to explain a promoter who loves him in Phoenix who's a straight rockabilly dude doing shows over at the Rhythm Room E-mailed him warning him of us and how he should request a different band to play and that we don't play...haha. Then he was like, all it did was make me wanna see you guy's. The icing on the cake was right after we played, he walked up to the stage and just looked at us, and said, "Wow, that was amazing." And I'm not exaggerating. It was weird because I didn't knnow/expect him to like it, but he seemed to genuinely and thoroughly like it. Even Voodoo Organist was like, man, that was a lot of fun, and a great show.

We weren't allowed to watch the bands, but we managed to catch most of Voodoo Oragnist's set, and he was absolutely superb. Anybody who's a fan of Tom Waits, I encourage to checkout Voodoo Oraganist. Awesome live too.

So last night was one of my fav. shows, and then we went over to a party with a bunch of old High School Peeps. It was aight. I guess it's weird because I used to have a huge crush on one of the girls who was there, and there was some flirting, but I didn't really want to indulge or partake, as it just wasn't interesting or me. This was during the course of a very magnanimous party that occurred over somewhere that we didn't know the people who's place or party it was. IT was huge...basically a giant orgy of clothed drunk college frats, jocks, and slores, or various/slutty halloween figures.

From there we went back to the old groups dwelling, and it was fairly boring. Had some ok convo. with some of the kids, and listened to the new Paul McCartney (which is produced by the same guy who does Radiohead), and it was ok. We also heard some awesome Rave-Techno from someone called, Infected Mushroom, very crazy and well-produced stuff I MUST SAY! I don't know what happened, but I freaked out and just started talking out loud about how I didn't like being there and wanted to go home and just left the room. I felt bad, and finally everyone came outside and I just apologized to them. I think I can't be around illegal substances for too long. It starts to erk me and make me feel awkward. I don't know, it was crazy.

Now some homeless girl we met in Tucson that danced on stage with us at the show is living with us I think. She also spit in my drink out of nowhere at Los Betos last night. FUCK. WHATDOESTHISMEAN!?

Hope all is well.
