Hello and Goodbye LJ
I have not posted in this thing in ages. Like really posted. I don't remember my last really decent entry. It might have been in the summer.
It might be because most of my writing has been in newspapers. I been churning out 3-6 articles per week in either The Setonian or The Daily Record. It's been a pretty hectic semester.. and now, even class is getting in the way.
Anyway, I'm gonna make this short, but here have been a few highlights to the the Spring semester of my junior year:
Writing for the Sports section of The Setonian- It's been great. I've been on the floor of Madison Square Garden, eaten tons of free media food, and have interviewed players and made great contacts. Covering a Division I basketball team is as professional of a team as you can get right now. Great experience so far.
Caity time- Because we're busy, we try to get in a day in the middle of the week to spend some time. We've pretty much made dinner every Monday night at her apartment, which has been cool because we can learn to make different dinners, its cheap, and its quality time. Good times =).
Daily Record- It's been kind of cool getting some clips in a real paper. I just want to get some more features under my belt. It's been pretty good, getting out there to see what it's really like. Hopefully, I'll get to cover a pro team or two in the spring.
Z100- It's been good on Fridays, although I hate waking up at 3:30 am, its nice to see my friends over there and to keep my face fresh. I like working there, and the money is pretty good.
Persuasive Speaking class- One of the coolest classes I've taken. I am getting much better speaking in front of people. It's been a great class.
Some non-highlights:
Drew's Clues- They haven't been up to par the last couple of weeks because I haven't been able to plan. I'll be better this week.
Not seeing my family as much- Never fun.
Things to look forward to:
March 6-12: Spring Break, no Setonian, Conway comes home.
April 13: Yankees third home game against the Royals with Caity, Swans, etc.
April 14: Death Cab For Cutie at the Hammerstein.
May 4: End of finals.
May 5: SoF '06- already. Damn, it's going fast.
May 30: Umm.. I know there's something..
I think that covers it.. for now.. I know Kanye is touring with Red Hot Chili Peppers, which is just outstanding. I'll probably be at Zootopia (who cares). Going to a Phillies game with Brendan in June, I got my 21st in August, and many possibly vacation options. Many Yankees games, and good times.
