Summer Update
It's been a great summer so far. I'll update as much as I can, its gonna be a massive entry, I probably won't even fit it all in one entry. So here goes.
Zootopia was fun. I don't even remember if i updated about this at all. And I am too lazy to go back and look. But it seems like forever ago. Wait a minute. I did update about half of this crap. I'll fastforward to I think... 4th of July.
4th of July
4th of July was just an awesome summer day. Woke up in the morning, Caity came up. We drove to Penn Station, Took the train to 33rd St. Met up with Maribeth Quinn, and jumped on the D to Yankee Stadium. The Yankees went up like 6-0 in the first two innings, then the Yankees started giving it back.
At 3 o clock, Caity's mom and company decided they should leave to get a good spot for the fireworks. (This was only in the bottom of the 3rd inning). So we decided, we should just stay, even if we miss out on the Macy's fireworks. Long story short, the Yankees had a dramatic comeback win, when ARod walked with the bases loaded and Bernie singled in the winning run.
Then I bought my Tino Martinez shirt, and we jumped on the D to Fulton Street. Walked up to the Seaport, and walked RIGHT in, where we werent suppose to get in. It was awesome. Free food. An Awesome spot for the fireworks, and some bitch who wouldnt let us wheedle in ;p. It was an awesome day with my awesome girlfriend.
Dave Matthews Band Concert
A couple of days later, I went to Camden with Caity and we saw DMB play at the Tweeter Center. It was absurdly hot. While I am not a huge fan of the band, it was still fun, and I learned a lot about Caity's favorite band. We had fun on the drive home too. Good times.
Next week I had to say goodbye to Caity as she went to Ireland. I missed her a lot. It sucked.
Boston
One of the coolest roadtrips I spontaneously went on, Me, Conway and Joe D decided to drive to Fenway park the day of the Yankees Red Sox game. SOMEHOW, after a 4 hour drive, standing on line for 2 hours, we got tickets behind home plate. 15 rows, behind home plate. Sickest seats I ever had. I ate an awesome Fenway sausage that they charged me 3 dollars extra for (I was wearing a Yankee shirt). I also got berated, harrassed, honked at, screamed at, and I think spit on.
Trying to keep these highlights short, The Yankees won a PHENOMENAL game 8-6 with a game winning 2 run homer off of new Red Sox closer Curt Schilling. After all of the shit Schilling gave Arod in the spring, it was one of the coolest things to see. That, and the looks of the Red Sox fans faces. Such an awesome ending to an awesome game, in one of the best atmospheres ever to watch a game.
We were going to sleep at my buddy Mike's boy's house, but when we got there, it was pretty gross. Someone spilled a beer, and it actually cleaned the floor. Gross.
