CopperCon 31 Announces Charity Auction for Literacy Volunteers of Maricopa County

Phoenix's premiere Science Fiction convention, CopperCon, is excited to announce that this year’s Charity Auction will benefit Literacy Volunteers of Maricopa County.

Phoenix, Arizona April 18, 2011 - The Central Arizona Speculative Fiction Society (CASFS), sponsor of CopperCon 31 is excited to announce that this year’s Charity Auction will benefit Literacy Volunteers of Maricopa County.

The Literacy Volunteers of Maricopa County (LVMC) is a non-profit organization in Phoenix, Arizona dedicated to teaching adults 16-years and older how to read, write, speak English and prepare for the GED. They depend on grants, corporate donations and individual gifts. They also need volunteers. See their website at http://www.literacyvolunteers-maricopa.org/ for more information.

All books that are presented as a First Edition are done so at the best judgment of our Charity Auction Director. No guarantee is made by Catherine Book, CASFS, Inc. or CopperCon31 for any item. If you have any questions, please ask via e-mail or inspect the item prior to auction.

CopperCon 31 is a science fiction convention, scheduled for September 2-5, 2011, at the Hilton Garden Inn, 11460 West Hilton Way, Avondale, Arizona. Membership is $35 thru April 30, 2011. Youths 7-12 are half price and children 6 and under are free. Author Guest of Honor: Carrie Vaughn. Local Author: Janni Lee Simner. For fans of science fiction, fantasy and horror media, as well as hard and speculative science, CopperCon 31 is the premiere meeting place.
