and by weekend, i mainly just mean saturday...
it began with a beach rendezvous with sam finn and todd. we went out to sandbridge, and at first i was like why are we going out in the middle of nowhere??? plus i was worried alex wasn't going to have a good time because he's not really a "beach-sun" kind of person. but it actually ended being super awesome because there was a peir alex could sit under, and the water felt good. plus, apparently there was a HUGE storm at the ocean front that we didn't get until about an hour after the rest of the city did, which means i got some nice tannage going. and i got to see sam finn's first surf lesson!
later, after very much needed relaxation, lunch and shower, i went to alex's mom's bachelorette party/bridal shower. which was actually a lot of fun. jillian, jess and i were the only ones there that were our age but i think i enjoyed myself more than at jillian's bachelorette party ( :/ ). i don't know, i guess i just worry less when it comes to talking to adults. i'm never really nervous around them and i know they'll like me. where, with people my age i'm more worried about looking like an idiot. and everyone was really stoked on me and alex, so what more could i ask for. plus i really do like hanging out with jillian and jess and that was a good place to.
sadly, though, i had to leave that early because the night before i received a text message from a girl i went to star of the sea with and was pretty much my first best friend (and haven't really seen since ... when i was like fourteen). she was texting me inviting me to a party at her house to celebrate her older sister graduating from college (who is my brother's best friend), her little sister graduating from high school (whom i met when she was about four years old, so that was insane) and her going away to hawaii for two months. the amount of memories that were brought up there were insane. the people there were people i spent practically every single day of my life with for nine years, and then never saw once we went to high school. it was really awesome. and it was so cool that everyone was so happy just to see each other. plus, alex and i beat jonathan and brittany in beer pong ... twice! and by alex and i, i mean alex because i literally only made one cup. in all fairness, alex was the only sober one there though.
when alex and i left i couldn't stop talking about how great of a day it was. and i'm not expecting much to top it for a while. :)
