so i'm about a month late but i think i have finally figured out my new year's resolution(s):
1. go to every single class
-not that i regret my personal day one bit. it was the best day ever. but it was also the first time i skipped class in three semesters. and it's still fairly early in the semester and i do not want this to become a habit. i had a great day but now its time to really focus and get in the groove of school
2. do all of my assigned readings
-i've never taken a class where reading was required as much as it is in two of my class. they are classes that don't have power points so it's really important that i read for class or i will be seriously behind. i've never been good at reading for homework, i'd rather do actual homework, but i'm going to have to really do it if i'm trying to keep my grades up
3. update more!
-i know i keep saying this but i really need to update my lj from things that have already happened. i also want to continue to update on the regular. i didn't have any posts in january and i had so much going on in january! if i make it a resolution, hopefully i will do it more!
4. continue going to the gym/training for 5k
-january was quite abysmal is regards to my attendance at the gym. i only went to the gym four times the entire month. granted, i did go on vacation for a week. and then had a week of birthday celebrations, but still. i really need to stay on top of that. i'm trying lose a lot of weight and be in really great shape for summer.
5. along with the last one-have more total distance on my training log every month than i had the previous month
-i increased from november to december but not from december to january. at least that will make february easier; only need 23 miles to beat january! this will also help me lose weight and get in great shape
6. READ MORE
-so i ended last year with a total of eight books i think? not bad, not great and definitely not what i was going for. so i need to read at least nine books this year. i think i can do it!
7. graduate
-luckily, i am supposed to graduate this may so i'm not behind already. but i'm actually going to graduate in august instead of may. i can deal that though. three months later is not bad at all. at least i'm not like jon who will finally be graduating after going to school for the past nine years ... and i'm not joking
8. and as always: save money
-usually i am so-so with this but i really need to if i plan on getting my own place sometime [hopefully] soon after i graduate. and i would like to go on at least one more vacation this year
