Quote of the Day : "They say that time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself."
-Andy Warhol
Tomorrow is the day. Tomorrow we graduate. Tomorrow we will see the vast majority of the senior class for the last time, ever. It's weird, usually I'm so excited about my birthday, I like have countdowns and everything. I was doing that for a while, and then as the day gets closer, I've kind of stopped. Tomorrow is my 18th birthday and graduation and I don't think it's registered yet.
Today started out bad. I went to the DMV to get my license renewed and waited for like an hour, finally got up to the front of the 2nd line and get all of the stuff and then the lady was like, "Ok, 24 dollars." I only had 15. So I had to go home and I was so pissed off cause I knew I was going to have to come back and wait again. So as I'm pulling out of the DMV my gas light goes on. Great. So I'm driving down Cypresswood about to get the Shell station and the railroad crossing bars go down. By this time I was so frustrated and pissed off that I started crying. Luckily, it was randomly just an engine and no cars. So while my car was filling up with gas I call my mom and tell her to get me some money and she was like why didn't I just call her earlier and then have her bring me the money rather than me having to drive all the way home and back. Good question. That would have made a lot more sense. Oh well. So I go home, get the money, go back up to the DMV where it's even more crowded than it was before. Luckily I only have to wait in the 2nd line this time, so it's like 15 minutes rather than another hour. I even registered to vote, that's exciting. Ugh, that put me in a really bad mood. But it's ok now, because right after that I met my mom and brother at Valley Ranch for lunch. Oh my gosh that barbeque is amazing! That made me happy and full.
So yesterday I was lazy and read like all day. I finished the Kite Runner and that pretty much depressed me. A lot. And then I read all of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. I saw the movie last summer and I liked the book lol. So yesterday I was a nerd. On Wednesday was senior breakfast. That was nice I suppose. Mr. Gordon's rendition of You've Got A Friend definitely made me cry. But I always cry, so that wasn't a big surprise. I really liked that, a lot. I think it was really nice and brave of him to get up in front of everyone and sing. And then we had the 7th and final bi-annual trip to Hido. It was yummy. Then we went to the mall to buy shirts cause we were going to paint "My hips don't lie" on them, but they are now all in an Old Navy bag in my room. That's probably not going to happen. Oh well.
So yah. I hope that everyone has a nice day and enjoys graduation and doesn't forget that it's my birthday so bring me a present. Just kidding. All I really wanted was digital camera, and I already got that. Hopefully I'll get High School Musical on DVD, cause that's the only other thing I asked for lol. And double play Tuesday club starts next Tuesday and everyone should be in it cause we can get Astros tickets 2 for 2 dollars. It will be amazing. Yay. Congrats to the seniors and have a super summer!
