Season 3 suffered from the writer’s strike, and because there wasn’t enough time to develop the storyline, Sam wasn’t the one to save Dean. *sad face*
But! There’s Dean having one year to live, and all the wonderful brother moments that came from that storyline.
Here’s my top 5 of season 3
1. Mystery Spot
One of the very best eps ever! I’ve always thought of this ep as Sam’s love letter to Dean. His love for Dean shines so brightly, it’s almost blinding.
2. A Very Supernatural Christmas
The Weechester flashbacks, and the SAMULET. Sam and Dean celebrating Christmas together!
3. Bad Day at Black Rock
Bad luck, Sam losing his shoe, Dean is Batman!
4. Jus In Bello
Sam taking care of his brother when Dean gets shot. The look on their faces when Henricksen said they’d never see each other again.
5. No Rest For the Wicked
Sam weeping for his brother, as Dean in hell is crying out for SAM!
