What is Dean becomes Sam (Sam's pov).
There's motion and movement, and then everything settles. The slow rise and fall of your chest is steady. As you exhale, I absorb your dreams. The warmth and wet of my tears pull your thoughts from the air. Foggy images become clear. What is raw becomes refined. What is Dean becomes Sam.
We are sleeping soldiers, unconscious but vigilant. You weave a blanket of the strongest thread, dream it 'round my body 'til I'm hidden from all harm. I do the same for you.
Our beds are separate, our hearts are not. <3
