Six Word Challenge - Poem

Jul 05, 2024 13:24

This week's words from spikesgirl58

The words...

Cleave
Ladybug
Cave
Glove
Exultant
Consecrate

Every step traps light,
her legs two candles on a moonlit hill,
her heart unpins like a ladybug in flight.

She is a bird exultant,
no longer in the grip of a gloved hand.
She is a bud in a blooming cave,
a flower consecrated that never fades
Cleave her to the stars who sing her name
