New Year's Resolutions

Dec 27, 2021 13:28

I know most people don't stick to their New Year Resolutions (and that includes me), but I still like thinking about it. I want to be more active on LJ, get back to doing Sam Daily, (not Sam Whenever) drink more water, read more books. Once I really start thinking about it, there's a lot of other things I wish I'd do more of, or get started on. ( Read more... )

I resolved a long time ago not to make new year resolutions, and that worked really well. (lol)

I do make goals or set challenges for myself for the year and I find that works better. Last year I challenged myself to blog everyday here at LJ and succeeded. I'd tried before (many times) and failed with flying colours but in 2021 I broke it down into 12 achievable challenges. So I wasn't looking at the whole daunting year but just one month at a time.

I pray all goes well for you in 2022. God bless you.

That sounds good, lol.

Resolutions are intentions, but goals or challenges are more defined and have a plan of action. I'm glad that you were able to succeed with your challenges in 2021. I like the idea of breaking it down to one month at a time, it seems less overwhelming. I'll give it a try!

I pray the same for you... that all goes well. God's blessing to you! *hugs*

I have tried to set resolutions but never get far. Maybe this will be the year. Good luck to you. I believe you can do it.

Most people do. But we can always try again. Cooking more instead of eating take out food is a good start. :)

I think I have had relative success. Hubby always makes us write them down at the beginning of the year and keeps them for the next. It is quite nice to see what we were able to do.

I'm glad you've had some success. Writing them down sounds like a good idea. That's much better than just thinking about it. And then you can look back at what you accomplished.

My only resolution is to live through 2022. With all my health woes, that is challenge enough. The only resolution I was ever successful with was to quit smoking in January, 2007.

May you have many more years, my dear! It's wonderful that you made a resolution back in 2007 to quit smoking, and that you succeeded.
