SPN Drabble - Brighter than the Heavens
A little drabble about Sammy getting rescued from hell... :)

Brighter than the Heavens
The north wind is a cruel sister. Sam can hear her blowing through the cracks in his cage, a steady hissing sound that keeps Sam awake. Her cold winds linger long past midnight, or whatever passes for time in this godless place. She is his dark messenger; a hundred years of fate written on these walls, and she knows every word by heart.
Claws mark his skin in points of pain, nails threatening to tear his flesh. Angelic wolves paint themselves red with Sam's blood, drink it down 'til it turns into fire wine, honey-sweet to their lips. Drunken pleasure in a palace of pain, angel brothers never sleep, never take their eyes away from their prey.
Sam sees a boney face drained of color, a pale savior with a black leather bag. A bag an old country doctor would use, all worn on the edges, its center soft and sturdy. Death gently tucks him inside, and Sam glows again, his soul brighter than the heavens.
