SPN Poem - Water from the Moon

Jan 07, 2011 11:15

Dean is dead for 7 minutes, and Sam feels the world blink,
feels things dry up inside him he didn't know needed moisture
to live,
feels his heart beat steady in his empty chest, beating for
them both.

Tears land on cheeks too flat to hold them,
as an old man's dreams drip silently away.
Sam watches them fall as he raises the knife...
"Sorry Bobby" he says, and the words don't move past his lips,
but Bobby hears them anyway.

Dean waits for water from the moon to wash the sand
from Sammy's eyes,
for Sam's skin to feel the lunar rain,
and for the first time in a year, Sam sleeps.
Dean closes his eyes, and the brothers share the same dream.
