Her paws pad softly in the dimmest of light. Fur dark as midnight, she blends into the moonless night. Kitty aches to hear the flap of wings, to see the grace that only comes from flight, to feel the love that only her crow can bring. She dreams of feathers, not fur. Of caws and not meows. She longs for a feathered embrace, and kisses sweet from the beak. Roses by the dozen, romance like tales of old.
Her heart, once a sad and fragile thing, soars at the sight of her beloved.
