Independence
Flag
Stars
Stripes
Banner
Fireworks
Eagle.
A thousand years ago in the land of independence, she sings her first song, sends her first fireworks to the sky, cries her first tears for the fallen. Today, she flies with eagle wings, but her heart belongs to the dove. She lands on holy ground, the place of peace where soldiers never have to die. Stripes no longer bleed red, and the stars of her flag are no longer bound to the cloth that gave it birth. A banner of hope, it blesses the land with an eternal smile that shines from the heavens.
