hi!
i figured i'd write a little entry having nothing to do with politics et al for those of you that arent in wisconsin.
i am back in milwaukee. today is a rarely lazy sunday. i've been fabulously busy most of the time, either with people or literature. but at the moment i'm just laying in bed checking a mixed cd i just made. looking at the transitions and seeing how they work.
the cream city brick's alright. (cream city brick....the old buildings of milwaukee were built with cream coloured brick...) surprisingly. i've been spending my days with old friends like mandy and matt, and friends that are kind of old but primarily fresh like luke and beste. i'm REALLY enjoying myself, not being a hermit which was usually par the dull course. and i'm not even dicking around; my room is mostly clean, after four untouch-ed/able years. i've also been making thai food and gardening and writing blue boxes of letters. i miss maine and boston dearly. dreadfully. i talk on the phone more than ever before to one wonderful set of ears. thousands of miles of phone wire.
but.
i found a record player on the curb! sold millions of cd's and purchased yeats's collected poems and writing down the bones, among other things. i saw alison the black swan with red hair dance in red slippers and received a marmaset licking birthday cake off of candles in an envelope.
