Our generation is the first to grow up with computers at home, in a 500-channel TV universe. They are multi-taskers with cell phones, music downloads, and Instant Messaging on the Internet. They are totally plugged- in citizens of a worldwide community. We are challenging gender roles placed before us, males are likelier to color hair and wear jewelry, females are driven to be more self reliant.
Females are determined to become more self-reliant without own set of tools to fix odd jobs. We are now urged to go to college become self-reliant and have our own careers. The idea of marriage fulfilling one’s purpose in life has changed.
