Our VHS player/recorder seems to have died. Or at least dying.

And we have lots of kids videos we can't play any more.
I wonder if they even sell VCRs nowadays...

After a lot of shoving I managed to fit a firewire card to my desktop. So now I can finally transfer video from my camcorder to my computer. If I get around to it. :)

I've also bought a home cinema speaker kit & AV amp. I already got a DVD player, now I just need the projector... which seems to be out of stock at the moment. Bah.

I was tidying up the study and finally found the battery charger for my camcorder, which I last saw before the house move last July. So I'll be able to take lots of video of the kids - until I get bored again and forget to use it except for birthdays and Christmas. :)

Now I just need to buy a firewire card for the computer, and maybe a DVD burner

With one of these, and one of these, how long before we can buy a laptop replacement that can hang off a key chain?

Not that I'm impatient or anything.
