The government is to inject up to £37bn of taxpayer cash into Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) Lloyds TSB and HBOS.

Taxpayers will own about 60% of RBS and 40% of the merged Lloyds TSB and HBOS.Various chief executives and bank chairmen are quitting. Which isn't really a surprise, since they were obviously rather crap at their jobs ( Read more... )

The Tory party have lost an £8.3 million bequest and the judge summed it up nicely:

Handing down his judgement, Mr Justice Henderson, said Mr Kostic would not have left the money to the Tories if he had been "of sound mind".

I think the judge is speaking for most of us there. :)
