Unwritten Fic Ideas Sorted By Fandom

If I actually completed all of the fic that I started, I’d be a rather prolific writer in a few fandoms.  So, I thought I’d take the opportunity to keep a running list of all the fic ideas I’ve abandoned without posting.  This will hopefully either shame me into writing them, or inspire someone else to write them.  (This list does not include works in progress that have actually been posted.) Glee - Puck/Kurt, Kurt/Jesse

• Typical jealous Puck fic, this time as a result of walking in on Jesse and Kurt.
  • Finn and his mom Carole are living with Burt and Kurt, with Finn having his own room.  Kurt told Finn he was busy after school, and Finn assumed this meant going out, so he didn’t see a problem in checking Kurt’s room for some DVD he and Puck wanted to watch.  They walk in on Jesse going down on Kurt, and it’s probably the least dignified position Jesse has ever been in.  Upstairs, Puck tells Finn he can’t hang out in the house knowing that’s going on downstairs and he bails.  Jesse leaves and Kurt tells Finn that it’s not something they need to talk about, obviously not wanting him to mention it to anybody.
  • At rehearsal, Rachel thinks that they can still get Jesse to come around, that he’s not some soulless Vocal Adrenaline automaton.  Puck says that Kurt would probably be more convincing, and Kurt just stares forward icily as Finn tells him to cool it.  Puck tells everyone everything, saying that Jesse already had his tongue up Kurt’s ass by the time he and Finn walked in, so they don’t know what Kurt said to him, but he was obviously persuasive.
  • Kurt’s actually rather embarrassed about putting out for the enemy, and he refuses to acknowledge what Puck has told everybody.  Puck really wants to talk to him about it and he keeps asking what they would have done if Puck and Finn hadn’t shown up, what they’d done already.
• I’m sure there are male cougars willing to pay for Puck’s services as well, so some whorey bottom!Puck action.  (Not bottoming to Kurt in this fic though.)
• Puck taunts Kurt by saying even after everything with Quinn, he could probably still get Finn to hook up with him.
  • Puck harasses Kurt about his crush on Finn, says that he (Puck) could talk the other boy into fooling around, straight and all.  Puck makes a point of asking how much that would hurt Kurt-if Finn messed around with another boy, but it wasn’t Kurt-if it was more than gender, if he just didn’t want Kurt.
  • What if he told Kurt that he and Finn had fooled around when they were younger?  Experimented the way little gay virgin Kurt probably never had.
• Puck realizes that Kurt is trying to seduce Mr. Schue, he’s oddly fascinated.
  • “Will does see a lot of himself in Finn; you’d like to see a lot of Finn in you-I guess it makes a freaky kind of sense.”
• Will walks in on Kurt with another boy guy, begins acting awkwardly around Kurt.  Puck starts thinking something’s going on with Will and Kurt.
  • Puck mentions something about what he suspects to Finn, who thinks he’s crazy.  Puck insists they should do something about it, that it’s not right.  Finn points out that the women he’s slept with have been older than Will; Puck points out that they weren’t his teachers.
  • Crazy Three’s Company level misunderstandings where Puck confronts Kurt about the boy sex, and Puck thinks Kurt is talking about Will, but Kurt thinks Puck is talking about the boy guy he actually had sex with?  (Make him a senior so we can throw in some he’s older than you miscommunication as well?)
  • Mr. Schuester Is Not Having Sex With Kurt Hummel.
  • Will instead walks in on Kurt with Will's college friend Jake, who looks like Chris Klein (because of CK's slight physical similarity to Corey Monteith (and thus Finn) and his closeness in age to Matthew Morrison (and thus Will).
  • Will’s friend is in town, staying at his place.  He picks up Kurt and brings him back.  Will comes back early from his date with Emma because she wasn’t feeling well.  He walks in on Kurt topping the hell out of his friend on his living room couch.
  • Puck sees Will returning the underwear that Kurt left at his house.
    
  • A mortified Kurt finally admits to Mercedes that his teacher has seen his O face.
• Inspired by several figure skating RPS fics in which one character wakes up in an alternate universe in which he and a rival are dating, Puck wakes up in an alternate universe in which he and Kurt are dating.
• Future fic.  Kurt’s off-broadway show just ended its run, Puck is in a band, they meet.
  
  • I'm not really that into future fic, but I have seen some that convinced me I do like picturing Kurt running into a comfortably out Puck post high-school.  (Putting in a lot of my own experiences with running into people from high school when you’ve both changed in some ways but not others, and not being sure about the path your life took.)
    
  • Puck is in a moderately successful band, Kurt’s off-broadway show just ended its run, they meet through a mutual friend in Chicago.  Puck is in an on-again/off-again relationship with an ex-bandmate.
    
  • Puck tells Kurt that they weren’t each others’ types in high school and even though he’d been with bitchy Cheerios like Santana and Quinn, Kurt didn’t seem so much bitchy to him as he seemed like he wouldn’t be into rushing to tear clothes off because he’d be more into caring for his clothes than sex.
    
  • Kurt and Rachel both went to Julliard-she is supporting on a Broadway show.  They didn’t ever really run in the same crowds.  He speaks with Mercedes somewhat often, and she’s working at a non-profit in Miami-she had a brief fling with Mike Chang when he went to U of Miami for med school.  He heard that Brittany is either a makeup artist or a nurse.
    
  • Puck sees Finn when he goes back to Lima, where Finn has married his college girlfriend and is an Assistant Coach at Carmel High.  Artie and Tina live together a town over.  Jesse is on a soap, and he lets Puck’s band crash in his living room when they’re in L.A.
    
  • Puck asks if Kurt is still singing, says he should do guest vocals on his band’s sophomore album (really the third if you count the EP that got them their label deal).
    
  • When Puck tags Kurt in a picture, the old glee kids find Puck (who’d had a fake Facebook name) and learn that he’s out as bi and is still a bit of a man whore, and Rachel asks if that’s Jesse in his profile picture (which is him laying on a bed between Jesse and Jesse’s Amazonian girlfriend.)
    
  • Kurt admits that he wonders if he should have gone into fashion, because he doesn’t feel passion for musical theater like he thought he would.
    
  • Puck thinks Kurt needs to go back to Lima to rethink why he wanted to be a star.
    
  • “Judging by all those friend requests I got after I tagged Kurt in a picture, I am greatly missed by all of you.  Lucky for you, Kurt and I will be taking a trip back to Lima on the first weekend of next month.  Get time off, losers, and meet up with us there!”
    
  • Jesse works constantly so he can’t make the reunion.
    
  • Kurt tells his dad that his friendship with Puck is one of the few things in his life that he’s really happy with, and that if anything, coming back to Lima threatens to complicate it.
• It's A Very Soap Opera Thing to Do - Following Vocal Adrenaline’s victory over New Directions, Jesse wants Kurt’s help breaking up Rachel and Finn.  As they plot, they entertain themselves with each other, and Kurt realizes he’d rather have a guy who’s a little bit Finn and a little bit Jesse. He thinks that Puck might just fit that description.
  
  • Jesse proposes an alliance.  Kurt points out that his interest in Finn is well documented and Rachel will be suspicious if he tries to convince her to go for Jesse.  And he is through chasing after Finn after a bit of a confrontation where he tossed around slurs-they’re still healing.  Jesse suggests feigning an interest in Puck, who will get homophobic and defensive, causing golden boy Finn to want to come to Kurt’s defense.  Everyone will think Kurt is over Finn, and maybe Finn will realize he liked all of that attention a bit more than he thought he did.  Kurt doesn’t think that’s how Finn will react, but Jesse convinces him.
  • Santana realizes Jesse and Kurt are scheming on Rachel and Finn, and she approves-especially when she deduces that Kurt doesn’t want Finn anymore-she’s had him, she wants him again…she and Puck work better as something more casual; she’s looking for real.  Kurt talks to Jesse about changing their plans to get them each what they want.
    OR
    Santana wants Jesse and she asks Kurt to convince Jesse to drop the Rachel plan, and in exchange she’ll tell Kurt to get Puck-who he’s clearly realized is superior to Finn.

• I’ve decided that I really like the idea of Kurt playing second to a scheming Jesse, so...Kurt and Jesse are secretly members of a species/order that requires Kurt to act as a second-in-command or adviser to Jesse.
  
• Jesse turns Kurt into a vampire.  Kurt tries to hide this from Puck.  Burt is not amused.
  
• Puck and Kurt are rooming together, Kurt tries to sneak out in the middle of the night, but Puck interrogates him about where he’s going, but Kurt refuses to tell him.  Kurt pleads with him to keep quiet about it, and Puck tells him he’s no snitch-he’s a badass who will sneak out too!  Kurt tells him two people trying to sneak out will be hard.  Puck says he’ll get the blame if something happens to Kurt.
  
  • Puck and Kurt both sneak out of the rooms they are sharing with Mike and Artie, respectively.  They bump into each other and Puck wants to know where Kurt is sneaking off to, Kurt tells him he needn’t concern himself.  Puck was just going to get a drink and pick up older women, now he wants to know where Kurt is going.

• Drunken Kurt gets a tattoo of Puck’s name while the glee club goes out and gets smashed.
• Drunken Kurt gets a tattoo of Jesse's full name, with a cartoon of Jesse, as a tramp stamp.  Puck sees it.
  
• RPF Crossover. Puck wakes up in the real world, switched with Mark, and he meets Chris.
  
• Body swap.
  
  • You know the cliche: Puck and Kurt argue about how hard their lives are, a witch teaches them a lesson.
    
  • Puck wakes up in Kurt’s body, but he’s in his own house.  Puck attempts to sneak out, but his mom sees him.  He says he stopped by so Puck could give him a ride, but Puck forgot his Math textbook and sent him back for it.  Puck gets in his car and starts to drive to Kurt’s house.
    Meanwhile, Kurt wakes up in his own bed, but he’s in Puck’s body.  He calls Mercedes and asks for Puck’s number, Puck doesn’t pick up.  Kurt sends a text.  Later, Puck calls back.

    Puck wakes up Kurt’s body, in Kurt’s bed and Kurt wakes up in Puck’s body, in Puck’s bed.

  • The glee kids go to watch Nationals in New York, upon invitation from Vocal Adrenaline.

  • Finn and Rachel drag Puck along as they follow Neal and Kurt’s adventures.  They make Puck call Mercedes and she listens in on the going-on, mad that she’s not there.
    
  • Kurt and Mercedes are shopping during their field trip to New York, Kurt insisting on going to the Tom Ford flagship store, Mercedes pointing out that his father is going to be pissed when he gets the credit card bill, and Kurt insisting he’ll just get one thing.  Neal is there, checking himself out in a suit while his FBI handlers impatiently tell him to get a move on.
    
• Puck wants to top, but he wants Kurt to tie him up and act like he’s forcing Puck

  • Puck doesn't remember in the morning?  But Kurt's lying in the middle of the sticky mess he made the night before.

  • Carole and Finn are living in the Hummel house, Kurt mentions to Finn in passing that he is giving this guy Trent a makeover, but when Finn comes down stairs he does not see anybody.
    
  • Puck sees Kurt talking to himself, and later drawing a sketch of Trent.

Figure Skating RPF - Johnny Weir/Evan Lysacek [I'm probably never going to write this pairing now, but I did once have many ideas for them.

• Johnny starts dating a guy who looks and acts exactly like Evan.  Nobody notices but Evan.
• [Posted this one on the current meme, but no one has filled and I’m so tempted to just do it myself:] Jealous Evan sabotages Johnny's wedding plans.
  • Evan, who is either dating a woman or is still identifying as straight, hears through word of mouth that Johnny is planning a secret wedding to a guy he's apparently been seeing. Evan starts trying to learn more about it without anyone getting suspicious. (Maybe he even worms his way into Johnny's good graces with an offer of truce?) Then he starts trying to sabotage the entire event without admitting to himself why he doesn't want Johnny to get married. Eventually he will get caught by someone (Stephane, Johnny's mom, Tanith, Tara, whoever, your choice really) who calls him out on what he's doing, but he denies it. The person tells Johnny, who rolls his eyes about it being for any reason other than Evan wanting to screw up something nice in his life. Eventually, Evan gets caught by EVERYONE mid-sabotage. (I have this picture in my mind of him being found tampering with the sprinkler system at the venue before the wedding, or sending fake texts to Johnny's fiance.)
  • Your choice what he does next, but I'd love it if Johnny and Evan have a private talk where Evan blurts out an invitation for Johnny to run away with him. Bonus for Evan/Johnny kiss and/or Johnny postponing his wedding. I know this is rather elaborate, but if anyone can take it up I'd kind of be in love.
• Evan suspects Johnny is a diamond thief.
• Evan kidnaps Johnny by accident, then can’t let him go because Johnny says he’ll go to the police.
• Evan knows that all Johnny really wants is him, so Evan decides to shut him up by giving him what he wants.
• Evan finds Johnny’s porn.
• More of Johnny in high heels, and even though he can walk in them he doesn’t have to because Evan picks Johnny up easily; he can hold him up and carry him like a doll.
• Evan’s mom or one of his bros finds his secret flash-drive full of damn near naked Johnny photos.  Not personal ones, just ones he found online (such as a still of Johnny getting in the shower on his show).
• Inspired by the Johnny masturbates to Evan losing DWTS prompt: Johnny masturbates to a compilation of Evan falling on his ass in competition.
• Evan and Johnny somehow realize they both like the same show and end up texting about the show.
• Body paint-one of the skaters likes writing on the other’s body.  Don’t care who does the writing and who’s written on, but maybe Evan is trying to make a point that he is a creative person.
• Johnny dresses as Evan for a morning show interview, joking that he’s so casual because it’s very early, but Evan knows he’s mocking him.
• Archie comics AU.
  • Everyone is pretty damn wholesome and Evan is in the Archie role.  Johnny can either be in the Reggie role, or real-world Johnny dropped into that universe.  Either way, Johnny sets out to seduce Evan, and he succeeds.  The key thing is the super-wholesome setting surrounding the debauchery Johnny’s going to bring to Evan’s door.
• Johnny’s an exhibitionist; he’s worked for that body-he loves that body.  Evan is in the locker room to witness naked Johnny having an entire conversation with someone who doesn’t even acknowledge the nudity.  When that person leaves, Evan finally breaks and asks what Johnny’s deal is.
• Johnny eats amazing food, finds out it was cooked by Evan, becomes obsessed with having more.
• More kidnapping: Psychopath Johnny kidnaps Evan, ties him up, cuts him very lightly with a small knife.
• Pretty close to stuff that’s been done, but: Evan walks in on Johnny attempting suicide, stops him, and forces himself into Johnny’s life to monitor him.
• I was watching this Comedy Central Bo Burnham special and thought of this one.  Johnny’s recording his album and somehow ends up making comedic songs with Evan.  The recordings get leaked and they’re really big on the internet: people want more Johnny/Evan comedy songs.
• Evan and Johnny start spending a lot of time together and realize they’re basically dating except for the sex.
• Another one I originally posted on the kink meme: James Bond role-play
  
  • Johnny has the epiphany that Evan is hot/Evan totally wants him/whatever. He decides to seduce Evan with James Bond role-play, where he's the villain and Evan is James. Play it for humor, play it for hot, I don't care. I just want Johnny showing up at Evan's hotel room, calling him Mr. Bond, and seducing him with threats to take over the world.

Supernatural - Dean/Castiel

(These mostly consist of ideas we came up with on Dean/Castiel chat.)

• Post “My Bloody Valentine” - Dean asks Cas if he can tell whether Dean's ever had something written on his heart; it's awkward because Cas knows he and Dean have the same sigil on there, but he's used his angel powers to dampen the effects.
  • Dean asking Cas if he could tell whether he'd ever had a sigil on his heart, maybe if he could tell when someone had a sigil, and it's awkward because Cas knows he and Dean are marked, but Cas used his angel powers to dampen the effects.  Maybe with his powers weakening the effects will begin to show more.
• AU fic (or non-AU, whatever) where Dean or Cas follows "The Rules" to get his man. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Rules
  • I'm trying to decide whether it would be funnier to just have Cas trying to follow the rules because he doesn't know how to court a human...
  • or Dean to follow the rules because he doesn't know how to court a man...
  • I just remember reading in that book (yes, I read it) that if you don't get a proposal in 8 months you're wasting your time, and I thought that would be cool to play with.
  • It might need to be AU for it to be Dean following the rules.  
• Nerdy college TA Dean and sexy foreign exchange student Cas. [This may have been suggested by someone else on chat--it doesn't really sound like something I would've come up with.  Eh, it could work though.]
• AU fic option: Dean and Cas in high school, Cas is invited by someone to a party at Dean and Sam's house, Sam is trying to study and being pissy about the party, Cas stops Dean and Sam from fighting, etc. etc.
  • Ok, so they're in high school having a party because John's away on business, and Cas takes Dean into the kitchen to help carry a keg in, but it spills all over them and they have to take their clothes off.
  • They leave the party and head upstairs to change and then Dean tries to give Cas some of Sam's clothes even though Dean's are a better fit, they tussle and blame each other for the beer spill then make out on the bed
  • Sam walks in and he's traumatized for life, the end. [haha, that was not my ending--that was suggested by someone in chat.]
  • Cas is a weird new kid whose weird family of adopted kids all stick together.  His sister Anna is cute though, so Dean invited her and she had to bring a chaperone.
  • At school, Cas starts to follow Dean around, but Dean wants to pretend nothing happened.  (Dean is giving Cas that awkward "we had sex and now things are super weird now" look.)  Which Cas reads as, "hey, I'd like you to come talk to me about the sex we had." 

Supernatural/Dexter - Dean/Dexter (or more likely Dean, Dexter gen)

• Dexter is investigating escaped cons Sam and Dean, who are wanted by the FBI for murder.  Dexter and Dean bond over daddy issues and hunting.
  • Dean/Dexter sexual tension, with Quinn suspecting Dexter of having an affair with him.  (The sexual tension part isn't key though--probably will just make this a gen fic if I ever actually write it.)
