Jeez, you fall off teh internets for a while, and suddenly there's 9000 pounds of awesome happening all at once. (Or maybe it just seems like all at once because you've been gone and now you're playing catch-up.)
Like Supernatural fic. And the Supernatural RPS that goes with. Some of my favorite writers from long ago are producing (*waves to
trollprincess and
marinarusalka, from HL fandom of yore*),
kita0610 is writing, which is like, hallelujah time.
But the three fics that have most currently bitten into my brain, chewed it up and spit it out are these:
Tiny A's all in a Row, by
jwynn -- a short, just-right gem of a story. Brothers, devotion, and the small moments that make up their lives. When it comes for Dean, he's not ready.
What I really want to do is praise this fic to the skies, but I'm leery of waxing so enthusiastic that no fic could live up to the hype, so I'll shut up now.
In RPS world,
ethrosdemon has written two down n' dirty rockin' good ol' boy CK/JA stories:
Being Christian and
The House Rules. Atmospheric as all get-out (seriously, I had to go get a beer or three from the fridge while reading these), and hot to boot.
And speaking of Christian Kane, the other awesome thing that has apparently happened while I slept -- Kane has their "Live from London" CD, which was previously only being sold at their live shows,
for sale on their site! I have ordered. And drooled over the new songs that are streaming at
Kane's MySpace page.
Yeah, they've got a MySpace page. And, being a sad little fangirl, I signed up w/ MySpace just so I could stay better updated on 'em. *is pathetic* MySpace is a wretched site, btw. Lots of server reloading issues and not v. user-friendly, I didn't think.
In brief RL news, I finally got the right connection cables from my Dad to hook the camera up to my PC and get some pics uploaded, so
some Vancouver shots are up now. Not everything -- and I think there's a few pics at the end that are loaded, but not labeled yet -- but there's lots of pretty shots of
P3X-562, or
the Metropolis skyline or whatever.
celticlullaby, I took
pictures of
otters at the aquarium just for you.
Must dash. Work requires errand run to the Hill, which is fun in the "ooh, taking a cab away from the office" kind of way, but also not, in the "carrying boxes through security" way.
