Christmas in Florida

Jan 03, 2007 09:37

Florida in pictures... first off...this precious little boy is Armaan.  He's my nephew and the cutest 2 year old ever!  We spent a lot of time being entertained by him or cuddling with him.  I even learned a few choice Bengali phrases, since Armaan is bilingual.  I now know how to say hug and kiss...an a few othe kid level words.

This was one of the few pictures taken of me..typical...but at least i look good in it.

sam and armaan became best friends.  they spent almost all their time together.   this was one of their more peaceful moments.

we went to gator joes one afternoon.  It's a cool restraunt sitting on a lake.  we ate out on the dock.  Grandpa bought carrie a new t shirt....i think she got on last time we ate out in florida.  Sam and i had ribs...and fries and cole slaw...it was almost as good as mine.

Another afternoon we went bowling.  Grandpa stayed home but all the rest of us bowled..grandma for the first time!  When we walked int he door, Armaan saw a colorful ball rolling down the lane adn somehow broke free and ran down the lane after it.  he almost made it to the pins.  gave everybody quite a scare.  Once we explained what to do, he had a great time and was content to take turns and stay off the lanes.  The picture above is us eating very greasy fries.

Some unpictured moments.  I gave my inlaws a dvd with about 3 years of family pictures on them.  i scanned them from slides and then put music to the pictures.  I was soexcited togive it to them.  i think they enjoyed them.

we had a few really nice days.  hung out at the pools. one evening we were the only family there. it was wonderful to have this gigantic warm pool all tourselves.   the hot tub was perfect, too.  I love a good hot soak!

carrie salma and i went to the flea market on friday.  I got a few rings that actually fit me.  size 4 is hard to find!  One of them is a beautiful orange stone.  I love the color orange.

We ate so much,i may never be hungry again. Pauls mom is a great cook.  and has and endless supplyof peanut butter fudge sitting around.  paul and i tried to work off the meals by waling the two mile loop around the neighborhood.  carrie tried out her new drivers permit by driving around the retirement community.  She did a great job.

I managed to read about 2 and a half books, too.  It was good to go away for the holidays.
