Last night, Real Madrid played the second leg of the Copa del Rey Last 32 against Real Murcia at the Bernabéu, and Álvaro had the honour of starting in the rightback position! Unfortunately, he had a rather black day, picking up his second yellow in the 79th minute, but José Mourinho can't very well criticise him for it because he was expulsed and sent to the stands after telling the referee to "go to the shit" or something like that. ;)
I also found a video that rtve.es published before the Madrilenian derby, in which Álvaro and his former Real Madrid B and Deportivo teammate Filipe Luis talk about what the match means to them:
