From the (seriously unofficial)
altfriday5:
1. What's the last gift you gave to someone?
M's birthday gift, given a week ago - a set of pots for his then completely-denuded kitchen. (He was cooking using his camping pots, a little set of aluminium pots made for using on a Coleman burner. *g*)
2. What's the most important thing you've ever found?
Other than my waistline, you mean? (Funny story - you know you needed to lose weight when you're lying in bed on your stomach, half asleep, with your hand tucked under you. You find a hard spot on your side and it takes you a while to figure out it's your hipbone. *g* I'd lost 60 or 70 pounds at that point, and hadn't actually been able to find my own hipbones in about 15 years. That realization made me giddy - I spent the next couple of weeks poking at my hips, going "Look! There's bone there!) Actually, along with the waistline I found self-esteem and self-confidence, all of which have improved my life a lot over the last few years.
3. If you could have any device to make your life easier, what would you choose? No, you can't sell it. I'm talking about something for your own use.
Y'know, my life's already pretty easy. I can't think of anything that would make my life easier. A laptop, maybe, so that I can bring my computer out to M's with me when I'm out there, but it is sooo far from necessary. I know! (Looking at the pouring rain outside) A remote garage door opener! Lucky for me, my landlord's getting one for me. *g*
4. If you could retrieve one thing that you've lost, what would it be?
The christening ring my Godmother gave me. I wore it on a chain around my neck for years. Then, one day, the chain broke & I didn't notice right away.
5. Have you ever had something stolen from you? Was it important?
I don't think so... I've had a few CDs disappear over the years, but certainly nothing irreplaceable or even very expensive.
