Birthdays and gay puppets
First off, I need to wish a very, very special little lady a Happy Birthday!! I'm absolutely amazed by how quickly Miss Anna Banana is growing up. As a person that has very little contact with children, I'm glad the one I see most often is such an awesome kid. Here's a pretty unicorn picture in honor of the occasion. Thanks, Anna, for reminding me of what I was like at your age, and thanks for letting me borrow two of your favorite people as often as I do. Clearly we both have excellent taste in people. :)
And because I know it wouldn't offend her to share the post with gay puppets, I just have to say that Avenue Q was tons of fun! Since I already have the soundtrack, the best part, for me, were the Bad Idea Bears. Hysterical! I was a little concerned that Avenue Q might be a bit much for semi-liberal/semi-conservative Des Moines, but the audience responded admirably. So, yay Des Moines! And yay for gay puppets, puppets making out on stage, mix tapes, schadenfreude, and making fun of political correctness. *happy smile*
