My internet provider is driving me bananas again; it was down all freaking night last night. So, if you send an email to my hotmail or gmail addresses, and I don’t respond right away, that’s why.
We’re entering my least favorite time of year. In the Midwest, summer often means temperatures in the 90s (Fahrenheit) with 80-90% humidity. In practical terms, this means the moment you step outside, you start to wonder if you remembered to shower. I call it my vampire season because I rarely venture out of doors while the sun is out. I despise feeling sticky and gross, and I hate the extreme lack of energy. Oh, and did I mention the lack of breeze to make it a little more tolerable? Yeah, it’s craptastic. On days like today, I’d pay a lot of money for an ocean with a cool breeze.
In much happier news, today is book release day. Yay!!! Tonight I’m planning to pick up:
The Unfortunate Miss Fortunes by Jennifer Crusie, Anne Stuart, and Eileen Dreyer (isn’t the cover gorgeous?) It’s also the source of my icon. J
Safe Harbor by Christine Feehan
Under the Rose: An Ivy League Novel by Diana Peterfreund
I also have a really long entry to type up that I’m hoping to post today. It’s all about world building and other observations about the Battlestar Galactica miniseries. I know it’s all probably been said before, but it was a good writing exercise for me to think critically about my favorite show.
