Life's been good to me lately.....
So my updates have been a little sparse lately. Mainly because I'm not a job that I find so boring my only solace is to peruse the internet. Anyway I've found to my own surprise that I actually like the job at JELD-WEN that I didn't think I would. The people there are awesome. For example I am sitting in the conference room yesterday with several of my co-worker including my supervisor and boss, and a co-worker of mine says "Hey, gas prices are so bad that when this guy asked for $5 of gas the gas attendant farted and handed him a receipt". Yeah.... they're random and sarcastic, and really it's making me like the job so much more. The only negative aspect is I now know waaaayyy too much about windows, and I have dreams about them almost every night
Last time I posted I said that I got accepted into grad school and I have been soooo excited that I make sure I check every piece of mail in case I got something from UW. It's so crazy to think that in one year's time I went from not even having graduate school as a possibility in my near future to being accepted into on of the top ten MLIS programs in the US! When I opened the envelope I stood there and reread the sentence five times before I actually believed it wasn't real. Oh and it looks like I'll be up in Seattle September 25-28 for Oreientation and our first residency. I may need a place to stay *wink*wink* too.
Yeah, so that's pretty much what has been up with me. Working and dreaming about windows and more school. This Friday I leave for the family's yearly trip to Astoria to spend the weekend at Ft. Stevens. And I get the house to myself for 5 glorious days!
