It's not every day...
...that you drink with the president of your university.
I love my school so much. Today (yesterday, rather) I was one of a small pool of seniors that was able to wine taste with Father Lawton. It was a blast. From Chardonnay to Cab to Bordeaux to Zinfandel, he gave some essential know-how on the finer points of drinking.
I made Fr. Lawton laugh. I think it went something like this.
Random kid: Is it customary to re-cork and take home your bottle of wine if you don't finish it in the restaurant?
Fr. Lawton: Absolutely. Just be sure you put it in the trunk, and not in---
Me: [interrupting] The cup holder.
I've been big on interrupting people lately. Obnoxious? Unacceptable? Probably.
Side note: Father Lawton is an extremely genuine, kind, patient, and humble guy. Rock on.
