So yeah, I'm in Madrid right now, and I sent out an email to all my friends to give them an update...But I don't have all of your emails, so what I'm going to do from now on is just transcribe what I send to people onto here.

Heeeeeeyy everyone! Un saludo de Madrid.
It’s been a little over four days since I arrived in Madrid. This place is nuts. Nuts in a good way.
I live in an apartment with our señora (who is extremely nice) named Dolores, and another student from USC named Joe. I arrived here about 15 minutes before he did, so I definitely swiped the room with the balcony overlooking Madrid. Joe gets a room with two little windows. Haha.
I walk 30 minutes to class every day. I am taking a Latin women’s studies class, which is the only upper division Spanish class that transfers to LMU. More importantly, it’s really allowing me to get in touch with my feminine side.
As for the night life, these people inhuman. Two nights ago we were at a dance bar (picture included), and when it closed at 4 in the morning, it was still full. People were entering as late as 3:30 to get their last bit of partying in for the night. The TUESDAY night, mind you. Do they have jobs?
Yesterday, I spent like 5 hours just walking around the city. I seriously can’t get over the buildings here. I’ll spend a few minutes just gazing up at some of these structures - they’re amazing. I might as well just tell people, “Róbame, soy turista” (Rob me, I’m a tourist). Every night, there are cleaning crews that hose down the streets and the sidewalks, which is good, because apparently Spanish people have no problem whipping it out and peeing on a tree next to the busy street. Yup, saw that too. Twice.
Today was probably the best yet. My roommate and I visited El Museo Del Prado, the oldest museum in Madrid. To say the least, there was an impressive collection of classical art, from French to Spanish to Italian. I’d have to say my favorite artists were Velasquez, Rivera, and Poussin. It’s weird, I’m getting all cultured...and stuff.
More updates to come as the weeks wear on. Hasta Luego
