wonderful weekend
Such a good weekend so far. Went up to Austin to hang out with Katie, Kevin and Patrick. We were going to watch scary movies but we decided on How I Met Your Mother instead.. good thing too b/c I HATE scary movies. I just love hanging out with those three. Kevin and Katie are moving to town next year and I really really really hope Patrick chooses to come here for med school so we can all be together. And for another reason, I'll admit. There's just so much potential. Sigh.
Katie had to work today so Kevin, Patrick and I watched more HIMYM, played Wii, went out to lunch then played mini golf. I was winning there for awhile but then Patrick took the win. He played golf in high school so he totally outscored Kevin and I.. haha. We're planning on meeting at my place next time and I'm going to take them to SW. I'm very excited!
Speaking of SW, I'm swimming with BELUGAS TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!
While thinking of what the boys and I could do today, we joked that we were going to Lubbock to tail gate. If I didn't have the belugas, i would have.. haha. Went to dinner with my parents to watch the LSU game but were drawn into the Tech/Texas game. It was definitely one of the best football games I've seen in awhile. Damn Texas came back but watching Tech win it with just over a minute left made my day. All of my family are Texas fans and most of my friends, but I was soooo happy to see them lose. I'm so tired of the hype. They need to get over themselves. Graham Harrell > Colt McCoy
p.s. did i mention I get to get in the water with the belugas?!
Edited to add that in a span of about 3 days I got two pay checks (teaching and SW) and two refund checks for student loans. I made almost 5 digits in just 3 days. Life is good! :D
