teaching is love

I had such a good day teaching today. Everything went smoothly. I had a really awesome math lesson with graphing how we want to carve our pumpkin. The student teacher came and observed me all day and she had nothing but wonderful things to say. Her son will be in kinder next year and she said she hopes he gets a teacher just like me. She couldn't believe I've only been teaching for a year. :) It's always nice to get confirmation that you're doing a good job. I just can't get over how much better this year is going. I know a lot has to do with the new group of kiddos, but I feel so much more confident this year. I really feel that I'm doing a good job whereas last year I just knew I was doing a good job b/c of their test scores, grades, etc. But this year I can tell my lessons are more well-rounded, thought out and more hands on. Last year I was really iffy on kindergarten but I'm falling in love with it this year. :)

One of my little girls was in a car wreck this morning, which is why she was late. She had cuts and scrapes all over. Poor thing. I even had to cut her hospital bracelet off her wrist. It's so scary to think one of them can be taken away unexpectedly.

How awesome was Brothers and Sisters last night? Kevin's "b/c all I wanted was a hug" broke my little heart. And then Scotty's reaction of "come here." They're such love.

Is it Friday?? I really really really want it to be Friday...
