One little gaming moment that was funny.
We're playing Pathfinder (think D&D, but with slightly better D&D-like rules) and there's this demon thing, trapped in a cage. On the other side of the room is another cage with a big, glowing circle in it. The demon says that the only way to make things right again is for someone to step in the other cage. He hints that it might kill the person that gets in there. "Wait, so anyone can get in there to power up the big thingamabob?" we ask. "Anything that's alive," it moans at us. "But if you're strong enough, you'll survive." (Gamespeak: It does level drain.)
"Wait a sec," says I. "I've got a magical feather token here." And I throw the magic bean down and a huge oak tree springs to life in the middle of the circle.
Nothing happens. We all look at the demon.
"Well, maybe not anything..."
