Mabus's New Friend
As of yesterday afternoon, my uterus has a new friend! The new friend is The Terminator, a Mirena IUD. I expected Mabus to react with rage, fire and brimstone. However, in seems as if Mabus and The Terminator are madly in love. I can't think of anytime when my uterus has been so calm and well behaved. The insertion went well and I've had only dull cramps (just enough to make me realize it's not just my imagination) and my period has even slowed noticibly. I'm crossing my fingers hoping that within the next few months, my periods will cease entirely (how sweet would that be?). I've accomplished a handful of the things on the "six month to-do" list I posted back in March.
1. I DIDN'T go off-the-wall bonkers while Curtis was in France.
2. I DID do everything in my power to ensure the Comics Fest goes off without a hitch and, for the most part, it turned out alright.
3. I have yet to dump oodles of money into my loans, but that'll start as soon as Curtis lands a sweet job.
4. I haven't finished HayDay #2 and I've decided to put it on hold for a while due to lack of enthusiasm.
5. I DID find a nice black dress to wear in a friend's wedding.
6. I DID get a more reliable form of birth control (and it was the Mirena IUD).
7. For a while I took iron supplements on a regular basis, but I've gotten out of that habit again.
8. I've spent a little more time outside.
9. I haven't put new brakes on my bike.
10. I HAVE posted on LiveJournal at least once every three months.
