I would never have bothered to get married if seven years ago couples of the same sex could have the same rights as me. It was just the thought of lording it over gay friends and acquaintances that pushed me into matrimony. The only thing holding my union together this long has been the fact that if I had a vagina our marriage would be invalid.
So please preserve the fragile fabric of my precious, precious sanctified heterosexual marriage that is threatened by what other people choose to do with other people by denying others their right to the legal benefits of a marriage partnership.
