Rant: government bureaucracy
So, 4 government agencies and one private business have a hand in my one ticket. One county, 2 cities and the DMV are among them. No one will say which is responsible, but no one ever sent my ticket to the DMV, so the DMV has no record I did anything wrong. As a matter of fact, the DMV said that they show I am in good standing despite the restricted license in my wallet. I almost said, if I am in good standing then give me my license.
Instead, I had to go to the DMV where I was told to go to the court house, where I was given paperwork to take back to the DMV, At the DMV the second time, I was told I still didn't have the right papers and I had to go back to the court house. Now I have the right paperwork but my ride has to go home. Incidentally, the court officer told me I chose the worse possible DMV office to deal with today....uh DUH!
So, now I have to be up at the crack of dawn on Saturday to try and get in and out of the DMV before 9am. Let's hope it goes better. I have places to be Saturday unlike today when I just had to miss a whole days work.

EDIT: I forgot to mention I spent $35 on a mediocre lunch where the glass was dirty and waited an hour in the cold for my ride to begin with. She nice for taking me. I appreciate it very much. I was tyring not to knock on her door and be impatient....and froze my tuckus.
