The "Alarm Clocks" broke

Jan 24, 2009 08:59

For some reason, StanLee (even though he’s been on his regular schedule) decided I should wake up at 5:30 am.  I rolled back over and about 5:40 I realized he wasn’t in bed anymore.

He at least got out of bed before peeing…I only noticed when I stepped in it.

I took both dogs out and cleaned up the spot and tried to go back to sleep.  No such luck.  I kept getting awoken by the “Alarm clock.”  Finally when I had to get up at 8am (on a Saturday!) to clean up the paper towels he tore up all over the floor, (I must have napped some in between)  I got out of bed for good.  These were the towels I used to clean up after him and had put in the bathroom trash.

I’m still tired, but he’s made it obvious I am not going back to bed.  He’s doing his own thing, but every time I get back in bed, he starts barking at me or jumping all over me.  Missy thinks he’s lost it too!

In other news, I am contemplating the financial feasibility of patching things versus going to Good Will and replacing them.  How long is long enough to hold on to a piece of clothing?  I have these pajama pants in a plaid fabric I love, but they got a lil hole in them (now a big hole) and I was debating the value in buying a large patch for them versus just buying another pair (obviously in a different color, since they don't make this pattern now).

I try to be frugal when I can.  Some things are more important to me than others.  Like when I buy groceries.  If I have a few extra dollars, I will buy my meat, fruit, veggies and bread at Whole Foods, though I could care less where my can goods or boxed stuff for meals on the go comes from as long as it's cheap.
