The life and times of The Screaming Rose

Well, all of the managers and supervisors are out of the building today. Some of us were concerned about an impending doom, but we were assured by our colleague with 35 years under her belt that they did these motivational meetings every year or two.

My coworker is also out today, which means a little more work for me, but also that I will be less agitated.

Yesterday I cleaned my carpet...well half my carpet in the living room. Today I will finish the living room. As my dear departed friend Brother Beam used to say, "It's some better, but not plum better." I am not sure if he was saying "plum "or "plumb", but after consulting a dictionary it appears either would be accurate. I am guessing he was thinking of "plumb" as it is related to a passage of Scripture and he was all about the Bible.

Not 10 minutes after I cleaned it, one of the twins decided that she didn't want to go in the litter box. I caught her and tossed her in one anyway. I did it so fast I didn't have time to see which it was. She did it again this morning on the stairs. I hope it was because the boxes were dirty, because she used the boxes fine for 4 days.

I am getting ready for DragonCon. Still uncertain about my outfit for one day and I have not completed the t-shirt for one other day. I have a spot on someone's floor (a complete stranger) if I decide to go on Thursday and stay the night. I have not heard from my director as to my schedule so I don't know if I will need to be there for load in at all.

Stanlee is now a lanky little boy, not a baby. He does pretty well with his potty training if I keep him on schedule. He is enjoying the foster kitties.

Tigger and Penelope are watching everyone race around the house and pretty much ignoring them otherwise.

Missy is sleeping at the top of the stairs....some things never change.

The foster kitties are getting along with one another now. The boys still hiss at Stanlee if he tries to play with them, but ignores him otherwise. Both of the girls will wrestle with him now. Sugar wants to be out and be part of the whole family. Spice likes being out to play, but is still shy when it comes to people. Marvin is the bestest "ugly" kitty ever. He loves getting belly rubs and follows me everywhere. Melvin is a little shyer than Marvin but also likes to be near me and have his head scratched.

I am going to pretend to work now...just kidding. My break is over.
